100 years Visser Duiven!
Jan Visser established our family business in september 1919. Throughout the years we have developed ourselves into specialists in distributing pallets, packages and Warehousing. Below you will read how it all began nearly a century ago and which steps the company took since its establishment.

History & present
1919
Visser Duiven is founded in 1919 and started with a grocery service in Zevenaar and surroundings.
1928
The horse is exchanged for a truck.
1945
The truck fleet is gradually extended. The provided service is mainly transport for a number of regional clients.
1950
Gerrit Visser starts working for the company and is the 2nd generation working within the family business.
1980
Several clients request the transport of higher volumes. By combining the goods from several clients, the partial loads are offered.
1980
Marcel Visser starts working for the family business and is the 3rd generation working for the company.
1985
Due to growth, the premises at the Lorentzstraat in Zevenaar is extended.
1990
The organization keeps growing and the current location becomes to small. A new cross dock location at the Edisonstraat in Zevenaar is opened.
1995
The crossdock location at the Edisonstraat in Zevenaar is extended.
1999
The family business moves from Zevenaar to Duiven to a new premises with 78 docks. Finegrained distribution throughout the Netherlands is the core business of the organization.
2003
It is time for a new name and corporate identity: Expeditie Visser B.V. becomes Visser Duiven B.V.. The organization grew from a small family business into a professional business parter. The processes are optimized.
2005
The current location is extended with another 2.500 m² crossdock and 10 docks.
2010
The realization and extension of 5.500m² and 38 docks of the distribution centre. With this, the total surface of the premises is 16.500m² with 105 loading/unloading docks on a total surface of 46.000 m².
2015
Cindy Visser started to work for the family business and is the 4th generation working for the company.
2016
The acquisition of Middelkoop Duiven means an extension of our services: next to Pallet Distribution, now also Packackage Distribution and Warehousing.
